In 2019 Council passed the motion “Ending Sexual Harassment and Violence in the Hospitality and Service Industries,” which asked staff to explore what the City could do to support the industries in this issue area. Staff responded with
a memo to Council in July 2021 that identified three core actions that are currently underway.
The purpose of this short, voluntary, six question survey is for the City of Vancouver to begin better understanding what measures business are taking to prevent and mitigate sexual harassment and violence in their work environments. The answers to this survey will not be associated with any business directly and will comply with all privacy laws in B.C. to protect the identity of respondents of this survey. This data may be used in the future to inform specific reports that go to Council on the issue of sexualized violence and harassment.
Please note all of the questions in this survey are voluntary and none are mandatory in order to complete this survey. This survey asks 6 questions in total and may take 5 minutes to complete.
